Sulfamic acid for your cleaning applications

Sulfamic acid is used both in organic synthesis as well as in cleaning applications, primarily as a descaling agent. It is a white colourless and odourless powder that is not hygroscopic. It is used in both household as well as industrial cleaning products and is especially well suited for the cleaning of metals such as copper, zinc, nickel and aluminium.

While stronger acids such as sulfuric acid or hydrochloric undergo reactions with these metals, the weakly acidic sulfamic acid generally does not react while still being able to remove inorganic impurities.
